I am so pleased to announce more runners joining me on my Fothers Mission 24.
The latest supporters of my cause are Nigel Jemson, Luke Fletcher, Andy Kellett and Paws, the Nottingham Panthers’ club mascot. I will also be joined on a mile by two players from Nottingham Rugby.
Former Forest striker and scorer of the winning goal in the 1990 League Cup Final against Oldham Althletic , Jemson, is a close friend of mine and had no hesitation in joining me when I asked him.
Andy, who now plays at Guiseley A.F.C. was a great lad during my time at Notts County so it’s great to him joining me.
It’s also a great privilege to have the Notts Outlaws cricketing legend that is Luke Fletcher running a mile with me. Anybody who knows Luke will know what a top guy he is and I’m sure that mile will be a few laughs.
I’m absolutely blown away with the support I’ve been offered from the local sports teams in Nottingham. The fact that both the Panthers, who’ve let their mascot Paws out to run a mile, and Nottingham Rugby, who have offered two players, is so humbling and shows what an amazing city we share.
If supporters of any of Nottingham’s great sports teams can see my mission and want to get involved, they can do so by visiting the Get Involved page of this website.
Thank you once again to everybody who has signed up to run, donated or shared my mission.
