Schedule of the Run

Friday 2 July – Saturday 3 July

On Friday 2 July at 5pm, Fothers will begin his Fothers Mission 24, where he will run a mile, every hour, on the hour.

Along the way, he will be joined by a number of friends, donors and sponsors as he aims to raise as much money as possible for the MNDA. Find out more about Fothers’ story here.

His fellow runners includes England cricketer, Stuart Broad, subject to availability, former Nottingham Forest striker, Nigel Jemson, and Nottinghamshire CCC cricketing legend, Luke Fletcher, amongst many others. It will all start with Nottingham Forest midfielder, Ryan Yates, at The City Ground at 5pm on Friday.

The Mission will finish after 24 one-mile runs with the last being at 4pm on Saturday at Henry Road in West Bridgford.

Joining Fothers on the run…

Stuart Broad

Nottinghamshire and England cricketer, Stuart Broad, will be a running a mile with Fothers, subject to availability.

Stuart and his family set up The Broad Appeal, also raising money for MND, after the loss of his step-mum in 2010.

Ryan Yates

Nottingham Forest midfielder, Ryan Yates, will officially help me kick off Fothers Mission 24 on Friday 2 July.

We’ll be running a mile around the City Ground from 5pm… I still need to work out how many laps that is!

Nigel Jemson

Former Nottingham Forest striker will be running a mile.

As a close friend of Fothers, ‘Jemmo’ had no hesitation in joining the fundraising.

 

Luke Fletcher

Luke Fletcher is a Nottinghamshire Outlaws cricketer and friend of Simon.

He will be running a mile with Fothers and hopes the people of Nottingham get behind a very worthy cause..

Jorge Grant

Lincoln City midfielder Jorge Grant will be running a mile with me. 

Jorge is well known to Nottinghamshire football fans having played for all three of our clubs and making a positive impact at each. 

Matt Tootle

Former Crewe and Notts County defender Matt Tootle is the latest addition to Fothers Mission 24. 
 
We’re waiting confirmation on timings, but there’s sure to be a few laughs along the way during Toots’ mile. A massive thanks to Matt for his support.

Nottingham Forest Women

Nottingham Forest Women’s team including Head Coach Andy Cook will be joining me for a mile.

Mai Moncaster Sophie Tudor, Liv Cook, Niamh Reynolds and Laura Dexter will be running a mile along Brighton Pier with me on Facebook Live at 12 noon on Saturday 3rd July.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club

Notts Cricket have very kindly allowed Nuts the Squirrel out to join his other fellow mascots and run a mile with me.

The Outlaws will be midway through their season during Fothers Mission 24 so their support is greatly appreciated. 

Nottingham Panthers

Nottingham Panthers mascot Paws will be joining for a mile with Fothers.

The Panthers’ season has recently resumed and the club has been very supportive is offering Paws to join the FothersMission24 fundraising efforts. 

Nottingham Rugby

Nottingham Rugby have offered their support to FothersMission24.

Two players will join a mile running with Fothers.
